About this house sitting position in Reservoir

Hello, hello!

We’re heading overseas on 25 April for a month to visit my family in France, and our beloved cats, Mr Brown and Maze, need someone caring to look after them while we’re away.

We’d love to find the right person (or couple) who suits their personalities, as they’re both rescues.

Meet the cats:

Mr Brown (8 years)
A tuxedo boy with a heart of gold and a cheeky streak. He’s playful, cuddly (loves a lap cuddle and may want to sleep in the bed with you), and curious, though he can get a bit rough if startled—especially by fast movements or little kids. He loves scratching posts, sunny windows, and the occasional laptop session. He’s a bit of a beefcake and often tries to be “boss cat”, which sometimes results in playful chasing of Maze.

Health: Mr Brown had urinary tract surgery last year, so he’s on a special diet and needs a clean litter box.

Maze (5 years)
A shy, gentle soul who prefers space and quiet. She’s affectionate in her own way—happy to follow you around and greet you with purrs, but she’s not a fan of being picked up or sitting on laps. She plays nicely and adores food (sometimes too much!).

Health: Maze has mild anxiety and a condition called Pillow Foot, which can flare up occasionally. Medication will be ready if needed. Stress can sometimes cause litter box accidents, but our floorboards make clean-up easy.

Both love birdwatching from the windows, enjoy a breeze, and have plenty of toys. They each have their own microchipped feeders, a water fountain, and a self-cleaning litter box.

Important:
Please keep all doors closed—they’ve never been outside and are very opportunistic! We live on a busy road, and while they’re vaccinated, outdoors isn’t safe for them.

We’d prefer someone who can spend quality time with them, not just pop in to feed them. Friends nearby can help in emergencies, but your presence will keep them happy and relaxed.
