About this house sitting position in Richmond

We live in a single bedroom, three level townhouse in Richmond, in inner-east Melbourne, and are looking for a house-sitter and plant waterer for one month in late January - late February 2026.

The main reason we're looking for house-sitters is to look after our houseplants! We have a significant number of plants both indoor and outdoor, and in the summer months, they need to be regularly checked and watered - particularly the outdoor plants on the roof.

With that in mind, we'd love someone with a good knowledge of plant care - for inexperienced folks, it can be very easy to accidentally overwater plants, so we need someone confident in this area!

There is off-street parking available, though it's a fairly tight squeeze for larger cars. We also have two electric bikes that could be used if you so desired.

The ground floor includes small, kitchen living/dining room, and a small internal courtyard.

The first floor has the main bedroom, TV room and two bathrooms. We have several streaming subscriptions which you can freely use while you stay! The TV room has air-conditioning which can also help keep the bedroom a bit cooler.

The top floor is a private rooftop which is perfect for late afternoon drinks in the summer time.

Nearby are countless bars, pubs, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets, all within walking distance.

Couples are welcome.

The house itself has some narrow stairs and so is not suitable for less mobile folks.
