About this house sitting position in Rochford

We require a sitter at our new property in Rochford, which is in between Lancefield and Woodend in the Macedon Ranges, about an hour out of Melbourne. It is on 3.7 acres, has a large dam and lovely peace and quiet, but with the convenience of being only a few minutes from either town with all of the benefit of cafes and general shopping. There are some lovely wineries in the area, and we are only a few minutes from the iconic hanging rock national park.
Maxxie is a ridgeback X mastiff, but does not have to be walked being on acreage, although she does love a ride in the car. However, it is best not to take her where is likely to be other dogs, as being a rescue dog, she has obviously had a very rough life prior to joining us. She is approx 11 years old, and a very lovable soul. She loves cuddles and just being around you.
We are heading over to France and Italy for a long awaited holiday and we are looking for someone who, perhaps works from home and is not away for very long periods, as Maxxie tends to fret when alone for long periods, and cannot be left outside alone whilst you are away from the property. So this is probably not a housesit for someone who is looking to spend a lot of time away from the property or at work.
The house has all of the mod cons, with wood fired hydronic heating and Reverse cycle airconditioning, as well as a wood fire. So if you are not familiar with how to light a fire, then this is probably not a position for you.
We are currently in the midst of renovating, so you will have a lovely new kitchen to work in as well as a new ensuite in the master bedroom .
