About this house sitting position in Rothwell

Hi housitters
We are going cruising and are looking for a caring and understanding person or persons to mind our 2 dogs and bird.
Our home is a 3brm, single storey house, north of Brisbane in the beautiful Morton bay area.

Milly is a sharpea/whippet, 16yrs old , deaf and also seems a bit confused at times. She has wobbly legs and it looking like she is losing weight, but she manages to get up every day and wander around the house. She needs to be guided to the back yard when she first gets up or there could be a mess. She is on medication, it just gets put in her night meal. She drinks alot of water , so the bowl needs to be filled regularly.
She sleeps most of the time , but she does have playtime with Wyatt everyday.
Then we have Wyatt, dachshund by breed smoocher by nature. He loves a cuddle and to be kissed on his head. He understands alot but can be stubborn when he is trying to protect the house by barking at the delivery guy across the street, not listening when I say it is enough. He will bark at some people more than others. Otherwise he is a good boy. He is only 15mnths old and loves his walks. He loves to sniff alot but can set a good pace walking , if you are willing and able. When you get home from anywhere,best to ignore him as he will pee on the floor. Best to sit down and let him come to you.
Never stand over him and talk. I think he perceives it as a threat and he does a pee.
He likes his naps in the day but only settles when you do.
Sleeps with us at night, but he will probably sleep with Millie while we are away.
We also have an 24 yr old Galah called Beau. He loves a tickle but beware, he has to accept you first or he may bite.
There are shops and transport in walking distance and walk ways to and along the bay are just 5 mins walk.
Westfield and Ikea are 10 mins by car also.
We have a beautiful pool which has just been refurbished.

We are retired now and try to take some short breaks during the week and also some longer ones, when they come available.
