About this house sitting position in Rowville
Ours is a 3 bedroom, spacious home, with living, dining and open plan kitchen. It’s an old yet renovated home with new, well maintained, clean and tidy spaces and facilities. There’s an ensuite in the master bedroom, but we’d like to keep that closed. There are two other rooms, one bedroom/study with a queen bed and a third that’s also being used as a study. Both have wardrobes. There’s a main bathroom and toilet in the common area. Laundry facilities as well with washer and dryer. Kitchen is induction cooktop. Dishwasher is also there and a good sized island with bar chairs. We have a wide frontage with a circular driveway and lawn to the side and a verandah at the back. Our lawn needs maintenance particularly watering on very hot days and to mow it twice in the month (every two weeks). Would also want some of the plants watered so they survive hot summer days. (If this is difficult for you to do, this can be discussed further, where we can try and take some steps to minimise damage to lawn)
Our dog Leela: she’s a sweet and gentle and goofy girl who loves company. She needs at least one long walk and play with ball in our garden (it’s fine that the lawn gets damaged a bit when she goes tearing through it). We give her food twice in the day: once in the morning around 7.30 -9 am and later in the evening 7.30 or 8. She eats a mix of wet and dry royal canin food. We can provide more information.
Leela is allowed everywhere in the house. We try to keep her out of the kitchen though as she sheds quite a bit of fur. She’s allowed on sofas and she loves a good cuddle. She’s a mixed breed, we are not sure of her exact breed as she’s a rescue. She appears to be a kelpie collie mix. While Leela is very friendly with humans, she may get intimidated by other dogs depending on their temperament, size. she doesn’t do well with dogs who come at her face too much. But she does get along very well with other gentle dogs her size. Leela is a medium size approx 20kgs. We try to avoid going to areas where there are lots of dogs, so it’s best to always keep her on lead. And let her loose only in our garden. Leela doesn’t like to be alone for long periods. The most she can tolerate is 2hours and maybe 3 hours max. She will sit outside behind the gate enclosing the lawn and watch the road waiting for you the whole time. You can confine her to indoors on hot days or rainy days by closing the doggy door provided she’s had a good walk and exercise. More can be discussed if you are our home sitter! Read more...
