About this house sitting position in Russell Island

My living situation is quite unique. A friend and I have bought two houses side by side on beautiful Russell Island. We each have a dog and I have two cats. I’m heading overseas in October for three weeks and I will need someone to stay in my house and look after my cats, as well as the lawn, garden and plants. My friend will take care of my dog. However, because both houses are on the same large block of land, when my neighbour is at work a couple of days a week, the dogs will most likely gravitate to where the people are! They are Rory, a Cavoodle and Dotty, a Basenji. It’s essential that you love cats and dogs.
Russell Island is one of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands group and has a direct ferry to Redland Bay every half hour or so. This is a 20 minute trip. There are also ferries which stop at the other three islands and that trip takes about 30 mins. There is also a car barge but this can become costly and takes roughly an hour and 15 each way. You’ll have access to my manual car while on the island (if you don’t bring your own). I’m happy to pay the return barge costs if you’d like to bring your own car.
Russell Island has many amenities- a big IGA, chemist, post office, hardware, doctor, great cafes, and the house has water glimpses across the bay.
I do have a lot of plants which will need regular watering and the yard is roughly a quarter of an acre. We have a battery operated lawn mower. My cat Millie is used to sleeping on my bed so will most likely want to sleep with you too.
My house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and lovely expansive decks both upstairs and downstairs.
Nearby and within walking distance, there is a great Bowls Club which does excellent meals and live music on the weekend. There is also an RSL club and because inter-island travel on the ferry is free, you might want to explore the other three islands. Macleay Island has great cafes and a pub not far from the ferry terminal.
