About this house sitting position in Sellicks Beach

We are seeking a house sitter for a month over the SA school summer holidays.

We are looking for a non-smoking mature couple or mature individual to look after our property and beautiful dog. Grey nomads looking for a break for Xmas are very welcome to apply.

We have a lovely family home situated on the coast in the small village of Sellicks Beach. There is parking for a vehicle and a small caravan.

The house is a modern two-story home with a lovely decking with BBQ and views along the coast. We have unlimited wi-fi, fetch TV with free movies, Netflix, and sports channels for your indoor enjoyment, as well as a 6ft snooker table.

We are just one house off the esplanade and beach access by foot or car (you can drive on Sellicks Beach legally) is two minutes away.

There is one large double bedroom downstairs for your use, 2 x bathrooms, lounge with satellite TV, and kitchen.
Sellicks Beach has a post shop, general store with great coffees and take away and a greek restaurant and take away. The historic Victory Hotel pub is located just a 3-minute drive away and does lovely meals with beautiful evening views. Berg Herring wines also have their cellar door in Sellicks.

The town of Aldinga Beach with a shopping mall (including two supermarkets) and two petrol stations is a short ten-minute drive. The wine area of Mclaren Vale is a 10-15 minute drive, Willunga with its weekly farmers market and lovely Golf Course is just a 15 minute drive, and access to the whole Fleurieu Peninsula, such as Victor Harbor and Goolwa, is on your doorstep.

Getting into Adelaide (to maybe watch the footie or cricket?!) is easy with a train service directly from nearby Seaford station, or a 50-minute drive into the city.

Our only duties asked of our house sitter is to enjoy our home, take great care of it, and offer some love and walks to our old dog, 'Buddy' whilst we are away.

Buddy is a beautiful 13-year-old Pomeranian Cross. Buddy is a dog we rescued and loves his home, and so he may be sad we are away - he is very easy to look after, requiring just a short walk on the lead morning and evening and his food and tablet after his evening walk. The house is surrounded by a fence and gate, and Buddy can be safely and happily left during the day whilst you enjoy the locality, just leave him a chew!
Buddy needs one tablet a day as his heart is getting old!

We have had house sitters before, and they always get on fabulously with Buddy. Once you are welcomed into the house and give him a chew you are a friend for life!!

“Communication was easy and we thoroughly enjoyed minding the lovely Buddy, and Peter and Chantelle's lovely family home. We enjoyed meeting this lovely family prior and getting great instructions on the needs required in their absence. Sellick beach is a great location and the very comfy family home boasts gorgeous views down the coast. It’s also well located for day trips around the area to explore. Although the weather wasn’t great we still enjoyed seeing Mother Nature in all her glory. And breaks in the weather allowed good walks with Buddy. Thanks guys for sharing your happy little pooch Buddy and your home. We hope it made your vacation enjoyable. Hope Harri liked his fish names too ? ”

“We enjoyed housesitting for Peter and the family. They were very easy to communicate with and the house was lovely being close to the beach, yet in a quiet street with a park nearby. The house is two storey with amazing views over Sellicks and a nice back yard. There is some vegie patches and chook pen with an added bonus of daily fresh eggs from the girls. Buddy was easy to care for and loved his daily walks. We ended up growing quite fond of him. We wouldn't hesitate to care for Buddy and the girls again and highly recommend this housesit. Thanks Peter and family.”

“It was an absolute pleasure to housesit for Peter and Chantelle. Their home is very welcoming and in a gorgeous beach setting. Buddy, their dog is lovely and a joy to walk. The two chooks were easy to look after and even laid some eggs. Peter and Chantelle provided us with a written information and instructions sheet which was extremely helpful. It was very easy to communicate with them before, during and at the end of our stay. We loved house/pet sitting for them.”
