About this house sitting position in Smiths Lake
Our home is in a beautiful location with a lovely view of the lake and the sea. The house, which is on three levels, is quite modern and very comfortable. The little village of Smiths Lake, just up the road from us, offers a hairdresser, cafe, corner store, butchery, bakery and bottle shop. The popular tourist area of Pacific Palms is only a 5-minute drive away and provides a post office and pharmacy plus several appealing cafes, restaurants and shops. We are only a 20-minute drive from the twin towns of Forster and Tuncurry. The chief reason we need housesitters is our Shih Tzu/Poodle, Boi, who has 1-2 outings a day, but is otherwise quite an independent little fellow.
There are quite a few stairs in our home and we store wood for the combustion fire in the carport. In winter, you would need to carry wood downstairs if you want the house to be warm. Alternatively, there is a studio apartment on the third level with a separate bedroom and a queen-sized bed. The apartment is easily kept warm with an electric oil radiator.
