About this house sitting position in Southside

Seeking an animal loving person or couple! Our large, solid home is on leafy half acre block in a quiet area. The pool may be too cold for swimming in winter but it’s lovely to sit by it in our alfresco area and admire the view. Our kitchen is well-equipped and our large lounge room features a very comfortable couch and video projector to watch movies on the big screen. (You will need your own account for media streaming services). There are ceiling fans and air conditioning/heating. There is a carport for your vehicle.
Our pets are two adorable Siberian cats, two border collie dogs, and four guinea pigs. The cats live indoors and have a catio. We only let them out for a bit of grass time while we are strictly supervising them. The dogs are outside and inside (but not on furniture) and get along well with the cats. They are mother and son - mum is getting a bit old and slow in her movements, her son can be reactive to other people and dogs. We cannot trust him with children. He will be suspicious of a new person at first, but once he realises you are there to feed him he will love you! A sitter with a good understanding of dog behaviour would be preferable. Our Guinea pigs are in a cage on the verandah to keep them out of the weather but we put them on the grass in an outside cage every now and then. Their bedding requires regular changing.
There should be no lawn mowing required at that time of year, the garden will just need some watering. The pool maintenance is easy, just emptying the skimmer box, and we have a robot cleaner you just pop in a couple of times a week.
Gympie is a lovely little city, with everything you need only a short drive away. It is 50 minutes to Noosa and one hour to Rainbow Beach.
