About this house sitting position in Stanthorpe

We have a 40 acre farm with three very friendly German Shepherd dogs, a duck and two geese. Our dogs live inside most of the time and have become a little bit pampered. They love to go outside for a walk, but with a human. They also love chasing a ball. We live in a very comfortable 6 bedroom shed house. It is completely off grid. It has plenty of power for comfortable living and would suit someone who loves to sit on the veranda with a hot or cold drink and listen to nothing but the sounds of nature. We have plenty of wild kangaroos and wallabies which pass through daily and the occasional koala. We live close to Girraween national park, where there are beautiful walks and hikes, but also 15 minutes away from Stanthorpe township. Our dogs are used to going for a 30 minute walk down the dirt road and back relatively early each morning, but after that, they are content with a few easy toilet breaks just up the driveway and back. Our daughter and family live in a tiny house just a couple hundred metres away and own 4 Border Collie dogs. They would also need a morning and evening run and feed quickly around the paddock. They are used to running around and playing in their fenced yard. The Border Collies take about 10 minutes to run and feed.
We don’t have wifi, we use our phones data. The internet works with Telstra, but it can be a little slow.
We would love a house sitter who loves dogs and loves getting away from it all to come and enjoy the peace and tranquility of our home.
We try to get away for an annual holiday with our 6 children and one grandson but it can be difficult to find a house sitter. My husband is a Police Officer, as well as a Fire Fighter. Read more...
