Welcome to our modern, resort-style home nestled within a lush tropical garden, beautifully illuminated with uplights and fairy lights in the evening. Relax in the hammock under the shade of our olive tree or make use of the pool area, surrounded by a spacious deck with two sun lounges, which connects seamlessly to our undercover outdoor living space, featuring comfortable lounges, a dining area, water feature and a BBQ. Pick some citrus fruits or herbs (if in season). Deck lights & Pool with mood lighting. Outdoor living at its best.

Your Accommodation:

Your Bedroom: Queen bed, side-tables and lamps, mirrored double wardrobe. Resort-style bathroom and separate toilet.

House Access: Full use of the house except for our bedroom (Ruby's safe space), our ensuite, walk-in wardrobe, and my therapy room/office.
Enjoy the light-filled kitchen/dining/family room, the dedicated media room with a library (plenty of books and CDs), and laundry with a front-loader washing machine and dryer.

Amenities: Modern, well-equipped kitchen with a 90cm, 5-ring gas cooktop and electric oven, dishwasher and French-door fridge/freezer with cold water and ice dispenser. Air Fryer. Lavazza Coffee Pod Machine. Relax in the retreat-style bathroom’s large tub with its window of tropical plants. You also have a separate shower. Media room with a large screen smart TV with surround sound. Family/dining room with a large Google Smart TV. Mini Stereo/CD Player.

Comfort: Reverse-cycle heating/air-conditioning in the main living area and media room for those cooler winter evenings. The bathroom has a heat-lamp.

Convenience: Robotic vacuum cleaner for daily cleaning between weekly thorough cleans. We provide cat food for the duration of your stay.

Outdoor Maintenance: We welcome sitters who can mow the lawns, do a bit of weeding if required, and look after the pool in our absence. Mower, tools, pool equipment and chemicals supplied. Block size is 800m2. Mowing shouldn’t take more 45 minutes (front and back). In Winter, every two weeks should suffice.

Utilities: Wifi, electricity, and gas are included.

Parking: The garage will most likely be occupied by one of our cars (the second will be at the airport). The driveway will be available, and there is also off-street parking. You may use the garage for additional storage space.

Community: Our small, quiet estate has lovely neighbours who will make you feel welcome.

Yandina is located North of the Maroochydore River A charming country-style town with excellent access to the Bruce Highway, amazing beaches, and Sunshine Cost attractions.
Walk into town. Enjoy an array of dining options including an historic pub with a beer garden, an excellent Thai, a Belgian bistro, beer garden and wine bar, and various takeaways. The town also offers a post office, 15 cafes, coffee roasteries, the best butcher offering grass-fed/chemical free meat, a fresh veg and fruit market, two bakeries, an IGA supermarket, a large compound chemist, a health and wholefoods store, a family clinic, dentists, hairdressers, boutiques, galleries, bowling club, tennis courts, wellness classes, and more. Yandina is also famous for the world-renowned Spirit House Restaurant & Cooking School and the Ginger Factory. It also hosts a fantastic Saturday morning market. You might also like to visit Wappa Falls Dam and Rockpools.
If you’re into astronomy, Yandina has even has its own privately-owned Observatory.

Nambour: Just 6km away, featuring Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, and an RSL, pubs, restaurants and an array of shopping opportunities, as well as a hospital and many medical and wellness practices. Nambour is well-connected by train services, making it easy to travel to various destinations.

1. Brisbane: Regular services run between Nambour and Brisbane, providing a convenient option for commuting or visiting the city.
2. Sunshine Coast: You can easily reach other parts of the Sunshine Coast, including popular spots like Maroochydore and Mooloolaba (bus terminal at station).
3. Long-Distance Services: Nambour is a stop for long-distance trains such as the Tilt Train and the Spirit of Queensland, which travel to destinations further north like Rockhampton and Cairns

About You: Ideally, we are seeking a mature, fit couple, houseproud, reliable, clean, and tidy, to look after our home and, most importantly, our beloved tabby cat, Ruby, while we are in Europe. Ruby is shy with strangers at first but becomes very affectionate once she gets to know you. She loves tummy rubs and chin and ear scratches. Due to a past bad experience with a dog, we prefer house sitters without dogs. Ruby is an indoor/outdoor cat but generally stays within the yard. She’s getting on in years now, does sleep a lot, but still has her kitten moments with incredible bursts of energy.
