About this house sitting position in Sunshine

Hi everyone,

We are looking for a reliable house-sitter (or couple) to look after our home and our beautiful 11-year-old Labrador, Ella, while we are away from August 26th to October 17th.

We’ve recently renovated, so you’ll be staying in a comfortable, modern environment (including a work from home set-up). We are located in a quiet pocket of Sunshine, just a 10-minute walk to the station and a short stroll to local cafes, restaurants, and shops.

Ella is a classic Lab who has mastered the art of the "daytime nap." Now that she’s 11, she is very chilled out but loves companionship. A few things about Ella:
- Loves her walks - we usually do a 40-minute loop around the nearby creek and a shorter 20-minute stretch later on.
- Generally happy to laze around on her own but does love a head scratch in the evening.
- Will join you on the bed when she goes to sleep —fair warning: she’s a champion snorer! She also needs some support to get on/off the bed.
- Like any true Lab, she is extremely food-motivated. You’ll need to keep a watchful eye on walks as she considers the world her buffet.

Because one of us is usually home during the week, Ella is used to having company. We are looking for:
- Someone who is a genuine dog lover and will be around some of the time to keep Ella company.
- Someone mindful of her "food vacuum" habits on walks and her occasional grumpiness toward other furry black dogs.
- Respectful Guests: Since this is our newly renovated home, we’re looking for someone who will treat it with care as if it were their own.

Logistics:
- Dates: Aug 26 – Oct 17.
- Location: Sunshine (park at the end of the street, easy creek trails).
- Requirement: We’d love to do a meet-and-greet beforehand to ensure everyone (especially Ella!) is a good match.
