We are a 100acre hobby farm with a brand new modern Queenslander home and pool sitting on the top of a ridgeline with beautiful views and privacy.
The farm consists of a herd of 30 droughtmaster cattle, 4 horses, a couple of house goats, much loved border collie dog, a cat who thinks he owns the place, chooks and guinea fowl. We are looking for a house sitter to be great company to our much loved animals and daily feeding of 4 horses and goats/chooks. Also keep up the water to very minimal garden area. We have a pool, but little to no maintenance checks on the water colour but we do have a pool guy for anything serious. A very clean, tidy and organised home and property. Non smoking home, which is preferred in house sitters.
We are only 50 minutes to Brisbane CBD and under an hour to Toowoomba. 2kms to Warrego Highway at Marburg, not too close to hear the highway noise. Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Brisbane are all under an hour away. Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is close for any cycling/garden/hiking enthusiasts.
A very peaceful, easy house sit. Home is 8 months old and is a very clean, tidy and organised home and the farm reflects this too.
Ideally a retired couple with or without a caravan and some rural knowledge would be helpful to keep an eye on a pump and general cow/horse health. Someone confident around horses is a must and capable to rug/un rug if required for weather. Read more...
