About this house sitting position in Tawonga

Our booked house sitter had to cancel today because of family needs.

Hello House sitters, we are off overseas 7 September to 28 October 2026 to travel to Indonesia and Shri Lanka. We need a mature capable person/s to care for our single level renovated home, mini Daschund, 4 hens and our 3 horses. We live in the beautiful Kiewa Valley on 10 acres with views to Mount Bogong. We are 30km from the Falls Creek ski fields. The Mount Beauty shopping centre is a 10 minute drive away.
There is space for a caravan.
You will need to keep our home clean, maintain the grounds around the house, feed the animals and walk the dog. Experience with horses would be an asset.

“Pete and Deb provided detailed three-page instructions so I could perfectly duplicate them while away for 100 days. The property and home are as close to Paradise as one could imagine. Ellie is the dream dog and companion, with typical dauchound Humorous behaviour and many unique to her. The gardens, orchards, veggie garden, and lawn were easy to care for, with every tool and need provided to make it simple. The horses didn't need much care, and the troughs, fences, and several paddocks provided plenty of feed, with a hay shed as backup. Both Pete and Deb were easy to deal with, professional, friendly, and easygoing, and treated me as a friend. I can highly recommend any competent, healthy person who wishes to be chosen for any house and pet sits here —not hesitate—although, if I am available, my hand will be up in a flash. Miss Ellie”
