About this house sitting position in Tewantin

house in Old Tewantin , walking distance to Noosa river and local park and forest
i require ONLY a genuine dog lover to mind GUS , for few days in March and if all ok then , for an other 6 to 8 weeks from early Avril to end of May

few important informations
this is NOT suitable for a whole family ,

this position is best suitable for a mature single or couple
if they travel with their van or caravan there is room in my property .
but NOT suitable for someone working 9 am to 5 pm outside of the property as Gus , is not used to be left alone all day every day


The person interested must have a knowledge of ACD , ( Australian cattle dog )as my rescue dog , GUS is only 2 years old and even that he has only 3 legs he is very active and energetic , he is a red heeler cross kelpie , very friendly , but need an assertive person to contain and focus his energy .
this is very different breed than most other dogs as they have DNA of dingo in them , uniquely Australian

NO need for any others responsibilities except my dog GUS , as the property is maintain by a regular Gardener .


, his routine most days is
we drive ( 15 minutes ) to the Noosa doggy beach early morning or the lake nearby for a good 1 or 2 hours , swimming and play ,
then we back home by 8 .30 am 9 am ,
during the day ,he rest inside the house with the air conditioning or in the garden in the shady place .
at around 4 pm , as it is cooler outside ,
i take him for a walk around my house to a park to play or the little beach by the Noosa river (as I lives walking distance to the Noosa River ).

, important , i do not take him out in the heat of the day ,

This are an Australian cattle breed dog , not really suitable for the city , i only rescue him as he was found injured , abandoned in the suburb of Brisbane and the Rescue place had to have his back leg had to be amputated .

HE is around 2 and a half years old , ,
very social and he loves every one and all doggies and cats , ( he is learning that not to run after the bush turkey) ..he could play all day long .. he is good with paddling with me on the sub or my kayak , or my boat
he totally love the water . he loves too looking into the water for hours like fishing ..
GUS is a bundle of love , however, he require an ASSERTIVE person who are used to medium large puppy dog .
This breed need mental stimulation as well as physical , .
Gus does not destroy any thing , never had , only his toys of soft toys that i buy for him and he is allowed to ..

in the heat of the day , Gus is happy resting inside .he , and doing his siesta as you can see in the picture .


it is IMPORTANT AND I INSIST ( no exception ) to meet and greed in PERSON prior to commit to care for Gus ( having been myself a doggy siter on this web site you can see my references and i always did take the time and efforts to meet the doggy or cats and their owner person prior to any commitment especially long term )happy to chat on video first BUT WE MUST MEET IN PERSON to see the connection between Gus and the applicant person prior to any commitment .

Gus is registered with Noosa council and he is insured for all events or accidents and up to date with all vaccination .
And i have always on standby , a local person, , or friends Emily who loves him and can mind him overnight in case you need to go away for few days or emergency situation .
and in my property . Florent ( a young French backpacker )stay in my granny flat and can help out with Gus as Florent do the garden too and know Gus well now

important
be aware that i do not have fix internet , I personally used my own phone as hot spot , and it works fine ,so you will need your own internet , or you can access to internet to Noosa library if you wish which is bicycle distance from my house
