About this house sitting position in Thornbury

Hi there!

I’m heading to Sydney from the 22nd to 29th September and looking for someone lovely to house and cat sit while I’m away.

My flat is tucked away in the quiet, leafy streets of Thornbury - right on the Merri Creek Trail (literally on the doorstep!). It’s a peaceful spot in Melbourne’s north, but you’re not far from the action - just an 8 minute drive or a 20 minute stroll to High Street, where you’ll find plenty of great cafes, restaurants, bars, and live music.

There’s plenty of free on street parking if you have a car, and public transport is easy too - an 8 minute walk gets you to the #11 tram, which takes you straight through Fitzroy, into the CBD, and out to Docklands.

The apartment is on the second floor of a secure block of 16 units - safe, quiet, and perfect for a solo stay. It’s a two-bedroom place (though one room is currently storage and laundry), with reverse cycle heating/cooling, a washer and dryer, and a private balcony that looks out into peaceful parklands.

I work from home full-time, so there’s a solid Wi-Fi connection and a comfy desk/computer setup you’re welcome to use.

Now for the most important part - the cats. Flo is 7 years old and is shy but sassy. Romeo is 10 months old and very much still a kitten. He LOVES human company and has no understanding of personal space (although he is very shy when first meeting people).

Feeding: They both get fed in the morning (Romeo in a seperate room) and again in the evening. Flo is on a specific diet but does try eat the kitten food which is why they need to be fed seperately.

Litter: Scooped daily (when possible!)

Play: Romeo has a lot of energy so he needs a lot of play! I have a bunch of interactive toys but he loves a good old fashioned feather wand. Flo is happy to chill and do her own thing.
