About this house sitting position in Throsby

We live in a spacious, clean, fairly new house in a cul-de-sac in a quiet suburb with friendly neighbours. We have vegie gardens, fruit trees, and lots of ornamentals outside, and indoor plants as well. Inside lives our beautiful friendly cat Mindy, and in the backyard six lovely chooks inhabit a run and provide fresh eggs.

Our home is a comfortable space with two bedrooms available for sitter use (one with a king size bed, including an ensuite and the other with a double bunk bed). There are two living areas, a big kitchen with induction cooking, dishwasher, and walk in pantry. The backyard is a green oasis. There is reverse cycle AC in every room indoors for your comfort, FTTP NBN, a laundry with washing machine and dryer, and facilities to hang washing to dry indoors and outdoors.

Mindy is a very friendly cat who loves meeting new people, but becomes anxious being alone for long periods. She loves human companions and will willingly sit on your lap if she likes you, and also loves pats and smooches (but doesn't like being picked up). Our suburb is a cat containment area so she is strictly indoors only. She will also obviously need to be fed, have her water bowl filled, and her litter tray cleaned out.
The chickens live in a secure run, and need their food, water and shell grit checked/topped up daily - plus any kitchen scraps you might have will gladly be gobbled up! They also require checking to make sure they are also all in their coop each night (one of them is silly and tries to roost on top of the coop rather than inside). Fresh eggs will be available for the chosen sitter to use if desired.
The gardens, especially the vegie gardens, pot plants, and indoor plants, will need regular watering, and you will be welcome to pick and eat any fresh vegies/fruit/berries that are ripe during the time of your stay, or fill a vase with cut flowers from the garden (except for lilies which are toxic to cats).
One secure garage space for a small/medium sized car will be available - a larger car may need to be parked in the driveway.
We are only a short stroll from the beautiful Mulligan's Flat, with walking tracks and a variety of wildlife to enjoy. Highly recommend the Wetlands Walk! There is a bus a few minutes walk away that goes straight into Gungahlin Town Centre where you will find your choice of supermarkets and specialty shops.
