“We were very warmly welcomed by Mauraen and her husband and shown throughout the property for our impending housesit. Unfortunately a huge rain event meant that the sit had to be cancelled. Right up to the night before the sit we were in constant contact with her to keep us updated re the rain and minor flooding that was happening. We were very grateful indeed. “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maurean and John's Leyburn property. A comfortable home on 15 acres just 1 km north of the town, boarded on one side by Canal Creek. With quintessential country views north east across grass fields with large gum trees and grazing cattle – it was a very easy to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet only possible in the country. We enjoyed caring for Maurean’s hens who rewarded us with up to a dozen eggs a day! Many thanks to Maurean for making our stay a great experience.”
