About this house sitting position in Trentham

Spend autumn in the gorgeous village of Trentham in the Central Highlands of Victoria. Trentham just won the Tiny Towns Award for Victoria. We are around 20kms from Kyneton, Daylesford and Woodend, a little further to Ballan. We have an excellent V/Line train service from Kyneton or Woodend to the heart of Melbourne and are around 1 hour's drive from Melbourne Airport.

We have 2 dogs - a gentle, kind who-knows-what-but-probably-German-Shepherd cross whom we adore (Indiana) and an energetic border collie (Tennessee). They much loved.

The area has lots of great bushwalks very close by. There are also wineries and lots of little villages to visit with cafes, restaurants etc.

We need dog lovers as our puppies are happy and loved. If you love dogs and are yearning for a quiet retreat with coffee on the north facing deck, wine at the fire pit and 2 loving puppies, this may be for you.

The house itself is quite large (4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths as well as 2 separate living areas) and it has an additional, separate 1 bedroom studio. It is in a delightful garden setting with kangaroos visiting next door most days.

Indiana is now 10 so does not need a walk every day even though she would love it, she really is not up to it. Every couple of days usually works for her or a 15 min walk every day. Tennessee (proudly 13 months old) definitely needs a good walk every day. He would also love it if you threw the ball in the back garden with him. Read more...

“Dear Cate, My goodness.. where to start! Spectacular location in the Huon Valley with breath taking views and green rolling pastures all around. Georgia and Indiana were more like human companions who were so interactive and beautiful. With distinct loving personalities and adventurous spirits, these two darling girls were a daily delight! I enjoyed every minute of our walks and adventures, as well as our cosy nights by the fire; with endless smiles all round. I was gifted with fresh eggs daily from the busy chickens, along with comprehensive instructions on everything, which ensured everything ran smoothly. Sincere thanks Cate, for entrusting me with your precious girls and home. I am filled with nothing but gratitude and many, many memorable memories from my stay xx ”

Dear Timica A huge thank you from me for looking after the girls so beautifully. I really appreciated the regular updates. It was a terrific relief to see the girls having such a fine time and being looked after so well. They were very happy indeed so a huge thank you from them as well. You never know when you go away how everything will be but I could tell from your arrival they were going to be happy and would love being looked after by you. You read their little personalities so clearly. Even the chickens and guinea fowl seemed happy. You left the house impeccable which I greatly appreciated. Cleaner than I left it I suspect!
