I am needing a house sitter to look after my senior dog Henry. I will be getting married in July and require someone to care for Henry for a couple of days. We are in a 3 bedroom duplex with 2 floors. Our bedroom is the only one with a bed currently so we will supply clean bedding for whoever stays. Henry is a 15 year old Maltese x shitzu. He has a heart condition so requires medication twice a day. He has the start of cataracts and senility. He has been having toileting accidents for about a year where he gets confused and can't always find outside so is important to put him outside after meals and water. He will only drink bottled water from his bowls since moving in to the current house. He has muscle atrophy in his hips and back legs which makes it difficult for him to walk at times. He cannot climb the stairs so requires carrying up and down when going to bed. He is free to wander downstairs and sleep when you are around. He is not able to walk around upstairs due to risk of toileting accidents and falling down the stairs. At night he sleeps in the ensuite with a baby gate closed, puppy pads for toileting at night and early morning as he no longer will let you know he needs to go. He will get out of his bed to toilet on the pads. We have both disposable and washable pads. If you leave the house he needs to stay outside. He spends most of his day sleeping. Read more...
