About this house sitting position in Upper Scamander
Hi, We have a lovely warm, comfortable brick home that is passively heated and usually only needs a fire at night in winter. There is a reverse cycle air conditioner as well. We are 10 mins drive from the beach, and a short drive to St Helens and local attractions like Bay of Fires and Freycinet Peninsula. We have 2 cats (12 & 16 yrs) and 3 acres (low maintenance) in a beautiful, quiet part of north east Tasmania. We also have a veggie garden and are non-smokers. One of our cats requires thyroid medication twice daily. This is given in a piece of wallaby meat and he thinks it's a treat :)

“Thoroughly enjoyable house-sit for Leanne & Rod with their dear cats Seb & Callie who were cruisey & delightful.
Easy communication & detailed instructions were appreciated.
Their clean, warm home with a relaxed country vibe was within easy driving distance to town.
Thankyou for welcoming us into your home guys, we certainly enjoyed a lovely stay.”

“Rod & Leanne have a beautiful home surrounded by trees and wildlife. We thoroughly enjoyed living close to the Scamander River, where you can enjoy plenty of walks, boating and fishing. There were plenty of things to see and do, and we loved being involved in community life in St Helen’s; local markets, festivals, galleries and Parkrun etc.
The house is cosy and has great thermal properties to keep you warm at night. We grew so fond of Seb and Callie (their two cats) while we stayed. They are both filled with personality, and brought us many moments of joy.
Phone service is patchy, so it’s best to be on Telstra if you want to remain connected to the outside world. Leanne and Rod communicated well and made us feel right at home.
Thank you for having us! - Matt & Maddy ”

Thank you for the review, Matt & Maddy. I am glad you enjoyed your time at our home. The cats certainly enjoyed your company. Optus actually works better at home than Telstra. Thank you for taking such good care of our home and our cats. All the best on your journey...." - Read more
