About this house sitting position in Waikiki
1980's 5 bed home located 5 mins walk to Warnbro Road beach. Covered patio area and grassed garden.
We have 2 indoor only cats called Antares and Orion. (They have access to an enclosed cat run at the side of the house). We also have 1 medium sized dog called Alina. She is a Samoyed breed, born Jan 23. She is crate trained and sleeps all night, usually awake by 6.30 - 7am for toileting. Access to enclosed back garden via patio doors.
We are looking for a house sitter to attend to the cats and dog while we are away in Busselton. Ideally between Sat 28th Sept to Sat 5th Oct. (However, I can be flexible at the start or end if a full week isn't possible).
Duties would include daily feeding/watering. Cats have biscuits available all day and wet food once a day. The dog is fed a combination of raw dog food and biscuits once a day, with small treats during the day as required. I usually feed the animals between 5 - 6pm.
Other duties would include daily cleaning of cat litter tray. (We use a clumping litter and I scoop out their faeces to flush directly down the toilet and the clumped/dried urine I place in a separate bag to dispose in the outside bin).
Ideally Alina would need a daily walk. We usually walk her along the coastal footpath. She is a very friendly dog and her lead training is ongoing but she is improving and learning to walk more calmly at my side. She does still get excited seeing other dogs whilst out but using the sit command as the other dogs pass is getting better. She has shown no signs of aggression when out and likes to greet other friendly dogs.
All the animals are housetrained but on rare, odd occasions Alina has urinated in the house. However, this is now few and far between so we are hoping she will be fully house trained before the start of the holiday!
The cats are very independent. Orion is the Ragdoll and although he likes being near you and sleeping on the bed, he is not a lap cat. He can also be a bit vocal with a loud meow. (But this lessens in the cooler months as he sleeps more!) Antares is our big ginger boy. He's timid with new people but he's also very food motivated. I try to give him his food first to distract him and then feed Orion. (He doesn't always finish his food so Antares has the left overs)!
Full details will be written down and as we are only a couple of hours away I can always get back should any emergency occur. Read more...
