About this house sitting position in Whitsundays, QLD (25mins from Airlie Beach)

We’re looking for a reliable, animal-loving house/pet sitter to stay at our beautiful 150-acre rainforest property in the Whitsundays while we’re away from **28 September to 7 October**.

We’re tucked away in **Palm Grove, around 25 minutes south of Airlie Beach, 20 minutes from Proserpine and only 5 minutes from Cedar Creek Falls**. It’s a peaceful, private spot surrounded by rainforest, creeks, wildlife and plenty of space – a lovely place to spend a week or so if you enjoy nature and don’t mind being a little off the beaten track.

The main character you’ll be looking after is **Diesel, our Maremma**. He’s a beautiful big boy who loves company and would especially appreciate **a walk each day**.

We also have:

* **21 chickens** to feed, water and collect eggs from
* **3 goats**, who are very low-maintenance and mostly do their own thing
* A small **veggie patch that needs watering**
* A few basic property checks while we’re away

We don’t have our house built yet, so this isn’t a traditional house sit. We’re currently living on the property in our van and have a large shed set up with **toilet, tank water, power and Starlink internet**.

For that reason, **someone with their own caravan, campervan or motorhome would be ideal**. There’s plenty of room to park and you’ll have access to the shed facilities and internet.

We’re also **open to you bringing your own pet**, provided they’re well behaved and able to coexist safely with Diesel, the chickens and goats.

This would suit someone who is comfortable around animals, happy in a rural setting and would enjoy having a huge patch of Whitsundays rainforest almost entirely to themselves for 10 days.

It’s quiet, beautiful and private, but still close enough to Airlie Beach, Proserpine, waterfalls, beaches and everything the Whitsundays has to offer.
