About this house sitting position in Wilmot
This is a request for a lover of kitties to look after our furbabies while we are away.
Our home is in the foothills of the famous Cradle mountain in Tasmania. We have 20 acres of mostly natural bush with some springs and there are beautiful views down a valley and hills one way and views of the majestic Mt. Roland the other. There are many fruit trees that should give you plenty of fruit and the making of a vegie garden that never seems to get underway.
We are approx. 30 minutes to Sheffield, the mural town. 40 minutes to Cradle Mountain, 30 minutes to Ulverstone, shopping, and 45 minutes to Devonport where the Spirit of Tasmania docks in also good for shopping.
Lots of wildlife, especially at night and great for animal spotting by torchlight.
The house has 5 bedrooms , 3 bedrooms upstairs, the master with ensuite and downstairs are 2 bedrooms ,both are ensuited. These 2 rooms are let out as B & B rooms, but we will close off the business while we are away.
A cosy fireplace to sit by downstairs or an air con upstairs that warms all bedrooms and upstairs lounge.
We are off to visit our family in Queensland and
so our request is for someone special that wouldn't mind looking after Frankie who is our 5 year old Himalayan kitty and Horace who was a stray who asked us if he could live here too. He is about 18 months old and super friendly.
We therefore would love to hear from someone,preferably, who would probably already be coming to Tassie or just wishes to come for a great Tasmanian experience. Although it's winter the house is heated by a wood fireplace down stairs lounge room
A gas heater if required in the kitchen area plus a reverse air con up stairs that heats up the area very quickly. We have electric blankets on all beds plus two cats that live to sleep on the end of the bed that also help. We have snow jackets etc here if you need those up at Cradle Mountain area.
We can also leave a vehicle for you if you fly down and also before we leave we would love to have you. You would be most welcome to stay for little while longer as our guests if you wish.
Often there are other times in the year that we need to go away and so hopefully we can count on getting the same sitters back again if it all, works out well.
