Relax in a spacious Melbourne home with three beautiful Ragdoll cats

We’re looking for a reliable, experienced and mature house sitter or couple to care for our three gorgeous Ragdoll cats while we’re away from home.

We live in Wollert, in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, in a large, clean and well-kept two-storey home in a quiet area surrounded by parkland, walking trails and plenty of nature.

MMET MILO, FINN AND LOKI
Our three boys are:
Milo – 9
Finn – 8
Loki – 8
All three are indoor-only Ragdoll cats.

They can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once they’re comfortable they’re lovely company. They’re quite independent but enjoy sharing the same space as their humans and love pats and the occasional belly rub when they’re in the mood.

They’re healthy, have no special medical needs and are very easy to care for.

They can happily be left alone during the day, so there’s no need to stay home constantly. They are, however, definitely creatures of habit and appreciate their meals being served at their usual times!

Their care is straightforward:
- Wet food morning and evening
- Dry food available throughout the day
- Fresh water
- Litter trays cleaned daily
- A quick daily sweep or vacuum with our stick vacuum to keep the inevitable Ragdoll fluff under control

They’re welcome to sleep with you if you like, although a word of warning — the boys sometimes get the nighttime zoomies and enjoy chasing each other around the house! We generally recommend closing the bedroom door overnight if you value an uninterrupted sleep.

OUR HOME
You’ll be staying in a large five-bedroom, two-storey brick home with plenty of room to relax and make yourself comfortable.

The house includes:
-Five bedrooms plus a dedicated study
-Two separate lounge areas
-Open-plan kitchen and dining area
-Two bathrooms and three toilets
-Wi-Fi
-Heating and cooling
-Smart TV
-Washer and dryer
-Decked outdoor area with BBQ
-Garage parking

You’ll have your own comfortable guest bedroom along with your own bathroom, separate toilet and walk-in robe.

There’s also a dedicated office, so the house is particularly well suited to someone who works from home.

Our home is spacious, very clean and comfortable, with plenty of room to find a quiet spot, put your feet up on a comfy couch and enjoy some feline company.

THE AREA
Wollert is a peaceful part of Melbourne’s north with plenty of open space and nature nearby.

There are parklands and walking trails throughout the area, and you’ll regularly see birds and kangaroos. We even have cows grazing in the paddock at the end of our street, despite still being within metropolitan Melbourne.

Public transport is close by, with a bus stop less than 300 metres from the house connecting through to Epping Station.

There are also two major shopping centres nearby, along with supermarkets, food outlets, cafés and petrol stations.

A FEW SMALL HOUSEHOLD JOBS
In addition to looking after the cats, we’d just ask that you:
- Water a small number of indoor plants once a week
- Check the mail daily
- Put the bins out on Wednesday evenings
That’s it — there are no gardening or other household maintenance requirements.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We’d ideally like a mature single person or couple who genuinely enjoys cats and has previous pet-sitting or house-sitting experience.

Because our cats can be shy initially, we’re looking for someone calm and patient who is happy to let them settle in at their own pace.

Working from home would be a bonus, as the boys enjoy having people around, but it certainly isn’t essential.

We are looking for sitters who have:
-Previous cat or pet-sitting experience
-References or positive house-sitting reviews
-Police check
-ID verification
Our home is non-smoking, and we’re looking for a quiet sit with no children, additional pets, parties or visitors.

DATES AND HANDOVER
We’ll be leaving very early on Saturday 24 October, so ideally we’d like our sitter to arrive on the evening of Friday 23 October. That will give us time to introduce you to Milo, Finn and Loki and run through their routine and the house.

We return early on Friday 6 November. You’re welcome to stay until the morning of the 6th, or alternatively you could leave on the evening of Thursday 5 November after the cats have had their evening meal.
