About this house sitting position in Woodside / Harrogate

Hi! We are looking for someone who would like to stay in the lovely Adelaide Hills and care for our pets and plants while we are away this July. Our house is a comfortable off-grid home with great views and a heated swimming pool. We live on 22 acres and while there are no specific ‘farm’ tasks required, a generally practical person who is comfortable in semi-rural environments would be beneficial.

We have easy care animals: two indoor cats, pet sheep and chickens. The chickens just like a daily supervised free roam, food check and egg collection and the sheep love a head scratch every now and then if you feel so inclined.

Some minimal watering in the veggie garden and indoor plants would also be appreciated.

The house is approximately a 10 minute drive to the main street of Woodside (pubs, cafes, restaurant, Amy Gillett bike trail and a supermarket) and a 45 minute drive to Adelaide CBD. It is a beautiful area for walking and to visit the fantastic local wineries only a few minutes drive away. A car would be essential.

The house has hydronic floor heating / cooling, ceiling fans and a combustion heater. There will be firewood available. Due to solar passive design, it generally remains comfortable temperature-wise all year around, but can get cool in winter. There are streaming services, Wifi and plenty of books! We have a great instruction manual for your stay which covers pretty much everything you will need to know.
