Hello!
We’re a small family — Jamie, Angus, and our 8-year-old son Ryder — and we share our home with our beautiful 1.5-year-old girl, Shadow. Shadow is a Pomeranian / Chihuahua / Mini Poodle cross and very much part of the family. She’s an inside dog who thrives on companionship, and as Jamie usually works from home, Shadow has grown up with plenty of company and connection.

We live in a comfortable three-bedroom home in the picturesque coastal town of Woolgoolga. We’re just a two-minute drive to beautiful beaches, the creek, post office, Woolworths and local cafés, making everyday life easy and convenient. Coffs Harbour is only a 20-minute drive away and offers plenty more to explore. If you love the outdoors, there are also many stunning nearby spots for hiking, waterfalls, rivers, fishing and peaceful coastal walks.

We’re planning a trip to Thailand in April for approximately one month and are hoping to find the right person to stay in our home, keep Shadow company, and (if possible!) keep our small collection of plants alive. Shadow is affectionate, gentle and happiest when she has someone around, so we’re really hoping to find someone who enjoys the quiet rhythm of home life with a furry companion.

Our property also includes a self-contained granny flat, home to Jamie’s brother Jack. Jack works long hours and is generally very quiet and respectful of privacy, but he’s friendly and always happy to lend a hand if anything needs attention. He has a lovely staffy named Olly who shares the yard — and occasionally the living room floor — with Shadow. Olly doesn’t require any care, as Jack comes and goes as usual, but she is part of the rhythm of the property. She’s a gentle, affectionate girl who adores human company and will happily accept any pats offered.

You’ll be staying in our gorgeous back sunroom, which we’ll convert into a private bedroom just for you. It’s a light-filled, peaceful space that looks out onto a quiet, tree-lined street and feels wonderfully calm. The room can be darkened completely with block-out curtains for those who enjoy a sleep-in, and it’s a lovely place to unwind at the end of the day.

We’ve recently renovated our kitchen, so you’ll have a new oven, stove and dishwasher to make day-to-day living easy and comfortable. The living room is cosy and well set up with a large TV and Wi-Fi, and there’s a small bathroom with a shower (no bath, unfortunately), but everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay.
