About this house sitting position in Yallingup

House & Pet Sitting Opportunity – Yallingup, WA

We live in the beautiful hills of Yallingup, just 5 km from both Smiths Beach and Yallingup Beach, on a peaceful 5-acre property on the Cape. At night, we often hear the ocean, and the surroundings are quiet, spacious, and deeply relaxing.

I’ll be travelling to South America for a holiday with my best friend and am looking for a kind, reliable person (or couple) to stay in our home while I’m away, as I can’t leave my beloved Jörn (Yern) and Greta on their own.

On Sunday, 18 January, Jörn (Yern) had a mountain bike accident and will be wearing a hinged knee brace while he recovers. By the time you arrive, he will be very independent, with friends dropping in regularly. Having people staying is important for his well-being during this time.

Your Space

In exchange, you’ll have your own private section of the house, which includes:

Two bedrooms with queen-size beds

Your own bathroom with a bath and a separate shower, toilet

A comfortable living room with TV
Your area can be closed off for complete privacy.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone happy to:

Walk, jog, or cycle with our gorgeous kelpie Greta for about an hour each day

Help with keeping the house and garden tidy

Share some (not all!!!) meals with Jörn during his rehabilitation (we’ll provide the food)

About Greta 🐾

Greta is a 6.5-year-old kelpie who adores company, cuddles, and long walks. Swimming, however, is not her thing! If you take her to the beach, she’ll need to stay on a lead, as she’s a little nervous around the water. She also loves accompanying you (and maybe Yern) to Caves House for dinner (yes we will pay for your night out).

This is a peaceful, supportive home in a beautiful part of the world, and we’re looking for someone who will enjoy the space, care for Greta, and be a gentle presence during Jörn’s recovery. Read more...
