Looking for a loving cat sitter for our little family home in Yandina, Sunshine Coast 🐾

We’re looking for a caring, trustworthy person or couple to look after our home and our two much-loved cats, Maverick (Mav) and Mia, while we’re away in France.

We live in beautiful Yandina on the Sunshine Coast, in a peaceful family home with lovely views towards Mt Ninderry. We’re close to the Yandina markets, local cafés and shops, and within easy reach of the coast and beautiful hinterland spots.

Our two cats are a very important part of our family. Mav and Mia are affectionate, playful and curious, and they love having someone around. They particularly enjoy playtime and interaction, so we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with cats — not just someone who will feed them and check in on them.

They are indoor/outdoor cats, but only go outside in the morning and afternoon. They like to start their day early, usually around 4am, so an early riser would be ideal and happy to let them outside in the morning. They come back inside later and will need to be let out again in the afternoon.

We’d also love someone who is happy to keep in regular contact with us while we’re away, sending us the occasional photo or little video of Mav and Mia. We’ll miss them terribly, so seeing their happy faces while we’re in France would mean a lot to us! ❤️

About our home

Our home is comfortable and spacious, with an open-plan kitchen and living area, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a beautiful outdoor setting. It’s a lovely, peaceful place to relax and enjoy the Sunshine Coast lifestyle.

As this is our family home, we’re looking for someone who will treat it with care and respect. We’re specifically looking for:

- 🐾 Someone who genuinely loves cats and enjoys playing and interacting with them
- 🌅 Ideally an early riser, happy to let the cats outside from around 4am
- 🏡 Someone respectful, clean and tidy
- 🚭 Non-smoker
- 🍷 No alcohol in the house
- 🎉 No parties or gatherings at the house
- ❤️ Someone who will treat our home and cats as they would their own
- 📱 Happy to communicate with us regularly and send photos/videos of Mav and Mia

We’ll leave everything clearly organised for their care, including food, their routine and contact details for our vet.

Most importantly, we’re hoping to find someone who will really love having Mav and Mia for company, give them plenty of affection and playtime, and enjoy a peaceful stay in our little corner of the Sunshine Coast.
