Hi lovely Mindahome members... My name is Dani. I'm a 49 year old non-smoking female working FT in Architecture + Design as a Design Strategist (basically a kind of consultant).

I'm a responsible, clean and considerate person. (And when I say clean, I mean you could quite literally, eat off my floors). I'm a total 'cat person' but sadly I don't own one at the moment, so housesitting is great in that regard - I get to have cuddles! Growing up our family had 5 cats over many years. So I am very experienced with cats and often look after friend's cats (currently looking after one too). I'm great with very specific feeding routines, brushing, medication, play time, reading cat behaviour, and of course pats and cuddles. I am fluent in meow. Haha. :D

People tell me I also have a bit of a green thumb - my friend's often drop off their sickly plants that they ask me to 'bring back to life' for them. So I enjoy looking after indoor plants or gardens too. I'm the type of person who's really 'house proud.'

I've been house (and cat) sitting on and off for about 20 years now, I started before all of these housesitting websites were around and began by housesitting friend's places, friends of friends houses, and then people just referred my name on to other people. This is the first time I've ever signed up to a house sitting website, so I only have one Mindahome review (in Windsor over the Dec 23 / Jan 24 holidays), but I've included a couple of written references in my photos and a bunch of AirBnB reviews so you can get a feel for the kind of person I am. Apart from Windsor, the most recent experience I have is looking after an apartment with lots of plants (no cat) in Thornbury in June/July this year for 6 weeks. And before that, I looked after a house and cat in Clifton Hill for 8 weeks in 2021. References are saved as photos in this profile. : )

I like going out to cafes, cooking, music, reading, gardening, cycling. Overall I tend to lead a pretty quiet / relaxed life.

Not sure what else to write here except that I will look after your home and your furry family members as if they were my own!
