My husband and I now live on the Surfcoast in Victoria. We have always had a caravan and travel each year, usually to NSW and South Australia.
We lived on a 10 acre property in Central Victoria for 24years and are used to a rural setting, as well as loving the coast. Our livestock included sheep, chooks and a welsh mountain pony, Mandrake.
We have had indoor cats and a lovely kelpie and red heel we r during that time. We don't have any pets now, so we can pack up and travel more easily, but often pet sit our sons' cats; one big! Bengal, Loki, and one little rescue, Sophie, at our home.
We also love the bush. We ride and garden and are generally quite fit. (Heavy chores are becoming a bit of a problem these days, but we work as a team, and are good problem solvers) We walk daily, and would enjoy the company of your dogs.
We live quietly and are very careful with our own and other people's possessions. We are non-smokers and enjoy keeping our home and garden in good order. I grow native plants as a (slightly obsessive) hobby.We would love the chance to move away from the caravan parks and settle in to some places we wouldn't otherwise see.
We have not done any housesitting through a group before, but can't wait to start. My neice was very happy to have us sit her house in Coffs Harbour for five weeks where we looked after their two cats and two Aussie shepherds.
We would prefer a space for our caravan, so we can continue our holiday when we our not in your home. Read more...
