My name is Ken, and my wife Mary recently passed away. We were caretakers on a beef cattle property (owners in Brisbane) 40klms north of Chinchilla. We were on the farm for 9 years and recently decided to become full time house sitters and had done some short sits. I am now house sitting on my own. We were townies gone bush and loved the life. I have a rural background and have looked after cattle, dogs and cats and pigs and chooks. I am a gardener and a handyman. I prefer longer house sits (4 weeks plus) away from the big cities and have booked a sit in Tasmania from June to November 2025 and am interested in doing further sits in Tasmania after that date. I am police checked and can give phone references on application. Please message me if you think I could be a good fit for you.

I have been at the housesit near Devonport since mid-June and will be here until mid-November. Then I plan to go back to Queensland for Christmas and hope to come back to Tasmania. I would love to find further housesits here of at least 30 days each which would take me through until June. I have become involved in the community, joining both a Rotary club and the local men's shed. I am happy to live in town or on a farm and have had significant experience on farms. Read more...
