More information about this house sitter
Hi there,
I'm an educated woman in my 50s with a responsible, quiet-living 17 year old (turns 18 mid-year). We're available to look after your home throughout 2024. Our current situation ends March 2023, but we can take up another offer if we give a month's notice.
Preferably south of the river. My son will be studying Sound Production at Mt Pleasant College, so we prefer to be easy driving or bussing distance to and from that location, and to be able to stay for as long as possible. This may suit you if you have long term travel plans for 2024, as we need to be in Perth and as stable as possible for the entire academic year. Having said that, we can store our belongings and be reasonably mobile, so will consider shorter term options.
We have a long record of responsible tenancy in the Fremantle/Cockburn area— we were members of a housing co-op for 14 years. We're currently in a temporary situation (combined houseshare rental/housesit while the owner is away) and prefer to save while planning suitable long term accomodation.
We also have a history of pet care—we very much miss our beloved Jack Russell, who lived to the ripe old age of 17. My son loves cats and dogs and comes complete with three good references including dog walking. My son also currently takes responsibility for such things as bins, compost and feeding chickens, and is reasonably strong!
I'm happy to do basic gardening and homecare. I'm currently doing lots of writing, so a quiet base is essential, a tranquil garden preferable.
I look forward to hearing from home-owners whose needs match our own.
Best Regards,
Ginny (and Bryn)

Ginny looked after Karen’s pets
"Ginny was my neighbour for over 10 years and often looked after my pets when i was away. She is a thoughtful, caring and community minded person and was a very good neighbour. She is honest and trustworthy and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as a house or pet sitter."

"Ginny looked after Michelle’s pets & home
Ginny is a friend of 30 years who was my close neighbour for a decade. I can honestly say I would have no hesitation leaving my house, garden and pets in her care. Indeed I have done so. She is kind and caring and lives a quiet life with her son."

Ginny looked after Helen’s pets & home
"Ginny is an excellent choice as a house sitter. Her mature and professional attitude will ensure your house is well looked after. She is a responsible choice as a pet sitter having had her own well-loved pooch in the past that wanted for nothing. If you have a garden, Ginny loves tending gardens if needed. I have seen Ginny’s Garden in the past, vege plot and frog pond and habitat, all lovingly made and tended by her." Read more...
