About this house sitting position in Ballarat East
I’m away working in Alice Springs, and am looking for someone to house sit and take care of my beautiful cats Louie and Lilou from 15th June to 12th July (potentially might be start of August - TBC).
I have a little cottage in Ballarat East with two small bedrooms, nice walk in shower bathroom and catio out the back, with plenty of garden space that backs onto a creek area. There are lovely walking tracks along the creek that lead to the IGA, about a 15 min walk or 5 min bike ride. It’s about 15 mins the other direction to walk into town and the freeway is about 5 mins away too, to head to Melbourne.
There is a WFH set up available too and projector (we use this instead of a TV). The house can get cold but it’s small and easy to heat up with the heater (please don’t use the fireplace as it’s not up to code from previous owner).
My cats are loving in nature - Lilou was a stray who is so snuggly and chill, barely makes a sound and loves to keep herself entertained with string or a foam noodle - very easy to please. She loves a treat and a brush. She eats biscuits 2x a day with the auto feeder and 2 spoons of wet food for dinner. She needs enzyme cleaner for her teeth that you’ll need to rub on her gums (she doesn’t love it but she enjoys the taste).
Louie has a bit of separation anxiety but that be tended to with attention, playing with a string and snuggles. He’s a bit skittish and he loves to be put in his jacket as he hates the cold and it makes him less anxious. He’s got a funny personality and is very social, loves people being around. He has gabapentin every night with his dinner (half a tin of dine) to help him sleep as he’s had issues with waking up in the night with anxiety. It’s helped him immensely so there’s no issues with him waking up anymore.
They sleep out the back in the mud room and they have access to the catio all night to the toilet and fresh air and toys.
In the day they are let out and can access the backyard.
I'd appreciate if the house is kept clean and the lawns are maintained while away. It's a small house, so there isn't much space if you are bringing a lot of items.
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you! Read more...
