About this house sitting position in BANORA POINT

We are looking for someone to look after our home and 14 year old Golden Retriever Hugo while we go on an overseas trip.

Our home is about a ten minute drive into Coolangatta. There is public transport in our area and a lovely little cafe and little Supermarket 700m from our home. There is a carspace for a small motorhome or your car.

Our home is located in a quiet cul de sac in Banora Point. It is a single level home with low maintenance gardens and easy care lawns. We have three bedrooms and a study with a family room rumpus room/ lounge room/ outdoor entertaining deck. Our house is fully tiled in all living areas. You would have access to the whole home apart from the main bedroom.

We would love you to look after Hugo who is a very friendly senior dog who sleeps most of the day and likes to be around you. He enjoys his slow short morning walks around the streets from our home or up to the park. He can’t walk up too many stairs. Sometimes he decides he only likes to walk a few houses up the street and he soon lets you know how far he wants to walk. He enjoys sitting on the front footpath for a roll a round. Occasionally he likes to go out in the afternoon. He is fine to be left at home during the day for a few hours but needs to have someone with him at night, he sleeps inside. He is fed in the morning and in the afternoon with daily tablets for pain medication. He often wants lunch and treats during the day but we only give him pet food and treats. We would prefer a couple or a single person who have no children or pets of your own. We would not expect you to have your guests stay.

We have grown adult children who are within ten minutes of us but unfortunately cannot stay with Hugo due to work and family commitments and Hugo is better in his home environment They will however maybe come over at times and take Hugo out for Cafe outings in our small car which is in our carport.
