URGENT URGENT: We are readvertising due to our housesitter cancelling at last minute due to family issues.

We urgently need a pet and house sitter for our home in Adelaide Hills from 1 October - 2 November, 2026. We are going overseas.
We have two absolutely gorgeous dogs, Bob and Lawrence—very affectionate kelpies. [Lawrence, black and tan, for 2 weeks (owner returns in mid October); Bob, brown dog, for whole month.) They need company and two walks a day (in their heads they are working dogs, reality is more couch; they like a stick or ball to chase in absence of sheep station.)
We ask that a sitter take them out twice a day (dog park, local reserves, street walk: all in walking distance.) After that, minimal requirements other than your presence here so that our house is lived in, and a bit of garden watering.
It's a good house to do your own home-office work; both of us do that. We are in easy driving distance of more hills, city and beaches.
Our neighbours are friendly and open, as is the neighbourhood.
Inside: The house is a smallish family home with one or two bedrooms for sitter/s—we can accommodate one or two single people, or a couple. A small family is welcome, although it's not perfect for the very-young-and-on-the move as we've got stuff down low.
Good sized kitchen, dining and living area, gas stove, electric oven. We prefer vegetarians, but are flexible. There is a small wood heater (if needed) and reverse-cycle aircon for main rooms. One bathroom, two toilets. Informal furnishings, cosy, very homey, not fussy but we keep it clean and tidy enough. (Two home offices out of bounds). Good washing machine and dishwasher.
Outside: Mostly native habitat garden (medium size), minimal watering needed—some fruit trees and pots—but keep the birdbaths filled); depends on rain in October. I'll put the pots together for ease of care.
Local area: Exquisite environment; national park, many conservation reserves, rural urban rather than suburban. Quiet, except for the birds. The train is 100m away direct to city, but we barely hear it. Pubs, shops and supermarkets, cafes, a big library, stunning bakeries, etc., all within walking distance. It's a beaut area.
