About this house sitting position in Briar Hill

We're looking for one or two people to look after our home, houseplants and garden while we're away for 6 weeks May-June 2026.

Our home is a warm, chalet-style retreat tucked away in leafy Briar Hill. Set on top of a large, private garden block, it features timber ceilings, a cosy fireside living space, and leafy outlooks from almost every window. It’s peaceful yet close to the shops, train, and cafés of nearby Greensborough and the natural surrounds of the Plenty River. It’s a work in progress – one shower is out of commission, the back door can be stubborn, the garden is a mix of tended areas and overgrown patches, and the driveway is very steep, which may be tricky for anyone with mobility issues. If you enjoy a relaxed, leafy vibe and don’t mind a few quirks and a little DIY charm, you’ll feel right at home.

Our dog will be staying with relatives in Adelaide, so no pet care is required. But we'd like someone to stay at the house and take care of the plants, collect our mail and help stay on top of the dusting and cobwebs!
