About this house sitting position in Burleigh Heads

We're looking for a warm, sensitive woman — ideally a homebody without pets or children of her own — to lovingly care for our two beautiful animals while we travel overseas July/August.

Our animals are gentle and emotionally attuned, and what matters most to us is finding someone who will truly be present with them...not just manage their needs, but genuinely enjoy their company.

Bodhi is a 7-year-old Spoodle with a big heart and an even bigger need for closeness. He's affectionate, easygoing, and wonderfully smoochy — the kind of dog who just wants to be wherever you are. He's fed and walked twice daily, and he will absolutely want to sleep on the bed with you (fair warning, and also a delight). He's used to a lot of love and attention, so ideally he won't be left alone for more than an hour or two, and not every day. The good news is...Burleigh Heads is a dream for dog walks, with stunning beaches, bush trails, and parks just moments from the door — I'll provide you with a guide. He's easy to walk both on lead and off and he's very friendly with other dogs.

Nala is an 8-year-old cat who is quietly wonderful. She may take a little time to trust you — she might disappear under the bed at first — but if you give her space and gentle presence, she tends to come around beautifully. She's very low maintenance: just keep her bowl topped up and let her set the pace.

The home itself is modern, comfortable, and well-appointed — a genuinely lovely place to land for a few weeks. You're a short walk to Stockland Shopping Centre (7 minutes), James Street (15 minutes), and surrounded by national parks and beach walks right on the doorstep.
