About this house sitting position in Clare

We are looking for a loving and caring house sitter to take care of our animals . We live in a stone Cottage just outside Clare on a hobby farm. The house is all finished after 3 years of renovation and lovely, peaceful and quietly located. With beautiful views and wildlife, only 5 minutes away from Clare ,which has everything you’d need. Great restaurants, shops, walking and bicycle trails and sooo many wineries to visit. We currently have chickens, ducks , sheep, and one very spoiled dog. Our Animals are our family and very important to us and our main priority. Especially the dog would love a lot of cuddles and walks and attention. Louis is a 9 year old spoodle , well behaved and trained and definitely our baby. In total the care of the animals won’t take more than 30 minutes a day and the plants might need some watering and Louis loves his daily 1 hour walks.

If you can see yourself spending the days visiting local wineries, long lunches, scenic drives and lookouts and walking the dog through the beautiful green Clare Valley on one of the many trails here and spending the nights in one of the many local restaurants or pubs or at home by the fire/ aircon inside enjoying a local wine while petting a dog watching Netflix/ Disney / prime /TCL , or have a spa... this is your chance. The house is properly insulated, has 5 split system aircons which heat as well and one working fire place ( and 2 for show) A Brand new kitchen and bathroom and it’s completely new but still has an old Cottage feel to it. “What a great experience our stay at Esther and Ronnie's place was. Both Esther and Ronnie were very warm and welcoming and they made sure that we were fully briefed before they left us in charge of their lovely home and animals. Their location is beautifully quiet and they have carved out a great independent lifestyle amongst their gardens, livestock and of course their lovely dog Louie, who is such a delightful character. We will remember our stay with great affection.”

“A wonderful experience to care for Esther and Ronald's lovely property, the special chickens, ducks and sheep and most delightfully, the wonderfully individual and entertaining Louis. We enjoyed daily walks and explorations and many fun late afternoons with him. We miss him. The spring gardens were beautiful. A bit more rain would have been helpful! haha. Esther and Ronald left us detailed instructions which were so helpful, as well as the encouragement to explore their beautiful area. Thank you guys. It was a pleasure to meet you and your red wine. It was a delight to be there!”

We were so absolutely lucky to have you guys taking care of everything while we were away for the longest trip so far. The place looked immaculate on return and the lawns and gardens better than ever despite the drought and all the animals happy and healthy. Poor Louis had a 3 day mourning when you left. As always we were counting on 2 weeks of catching up on jobs around the place on return and had nothing to do which was wonderful. We were kept up to date on our trip without and are so very grateful for everything you’ve done in those 5 weeks. We’ve only had good experiences thankfully so far with house sitters and have made lots of wonderful new friends but you guys were the best. Nothing makes a holiday more enjoyable than knowing that everything is taken care of at home.

“What a lovely part of the world is Clare and as promised by Esther, beautiful at this time of year. We had detailed written instructions to refer to and a thorough hand over before we took charge and got our hands dirty. Looking after these animals was a pleasure-even on those cold wet chilly mornings. The sheep saw us coming and raced to the troughs, the chooks and ducks kept a steady supply of fresh eggs for us. Louis loved his walks and kept reminding us who was in charge. The cats were easy to look after and warmed to us slowly. There are many beautiful walks, food havens and things to do close by. It was easy to take advantage of these but we also enjoyed just hanging out at home. We really will miss this beautiful farm, our friends the animals and the glorious sunsets. Thanks Esther & Ronnie?”
