About this house sitting position in Dandenong Ranges

My partner and I are looking for a lovely and experienced person/couple to look after our home, our Kelpie X Border Collie (Taika) and a lovely old chook (Dot), in Kallista in the Dandenong Ranges.

We need to travel for 2 weeks sometime between mid June June and late July - the dates are flexible.

Our block is a flat quarter acre, with lush gardens backing onto a huge Mountain Ash forest. We live only a short walk from a couple of cafes, a lovely general store (with much wine and cheese!), a wood fire pizza place, and a couple of other cute chops. There are dozens of walking tracks nearby, showcasing the amazing local temperate rainforests and wildlife.

Taika is a gentle and happy boy, who loves all living things. He has liver disease but it's completely under control - all he needs are a couple of pills each evening (we stuff them inside balls of cheese and he gulps them down with no hesitation), regular walks and lots of cuddles on the couch.

Dot is a 6 year old chook who's finished laying and is settling into her later years. She free-ranges in the garden during the day.

Our home is warm and cosy, filled with books, art and an ever growing record collection.

We'd love to find an experienced house sitter/house sitting couple to take care of our home and beloved pets - someone who will love the opportunity to live amongst the glorious nature of the Dandenongs!
