About this house sitting position in Davoren Park

Hi, my name is Samantha, and my husband's name is Daniel.

We are looking for a house and pet sitter to stay at our home from 24 September to 14 October 2026. We live in the northern suburbs of Adelaide in a quiet street.

We have two small dogs, four chickens, two large goldfish, over 50 budgies, and 3 cockatiels. We are travelling to a wedding in NSW. We fly out very early on 25 September and return home on 29 September. We then leave again for our 10th wedding anniversary holiday from 1 October to 14 October 2026, returning home that day.

We are not yet sure whether we will take our dogs with us for the second part of our holiday, so they may or may not be at home during that time.

A bit about us: I am 45 years old and a full-time carer for my husband, Daniel, who is 51 years old and suffered a stroke in early 2024. As we have not had a holiday since then, we are hoping this will be a positive experience for us.

We are looking for someone who is kind to animals, responsible, trustworthy, easy to contact, and communicates well.

One of our dogs is an 8-year-old female who we believe has something similar to PTSD. She needs her space at times and is not a dog that can be cuddled straight away. She prefers to make her own choices and will come and sit near you when she feels safe and comfortable. I can explain her needs in more detail when we meet in person.

Her dog sister is a lovable girl who is nearly 11 years old and is not quite as active. Both dogs enjoy their walks, chasing a ball, and visiting the local dog park. They are fully vaccinated and well cared for.

We also have over 50 budgies, some of which are show birds, four chickens that provide us with delicious fresh eggs, and two large goldfish.

Our home is a single-storey, three-bedroom house. One bedroom is a guest room with a queen-size bed. There is plenty of on-street and off-street parking available. We also have unlimited Wi-Fi, Netflix, and gas heating in both lounge rooms.

We are both relaxed, easy-going people and are easy to get along with.
