About this house sitting position in Dungay

House/Farm sitters required for hobby farm. No pets to look after.

Location - Dungay (northern rivers area, far northern NSW. See map in pics). Located 15 mins drive to Murwillumbah, 1 hour to Byron Bay, 30 mins to Casuarina or Kingscliff Beaches, and 40 mins to Currumbin/Gold Coast.

Dates- 13 May until July/August. Flexible with dates.

My partner and I live on the family farm with his parents who are in their 80s. We have separate houses some distance and private from each other. We are going up to the NT for a few months in May (leaving 13 May) and are looking for sitters who can look after our little house, check in with our parents and help them out with anything they need help with at their house. Friends and neighbours will also be available to help as needed.

Both parents drive, but you may need to take them up to John Flynn hospital once a month for treatment and perhaps to Murwillumbah once a week.

You would need to do the mowing using the ride on mower, brushcutting, and help with any farm and house maintenance, if needed.

Our little house (see pics) is a container house with washing machine, gas and electric cooker, tank water and compost toilet. There is a secure 1200m2 grassy fenced yard if you have a dog (we are taking our dogs with us). There are plenty of lovely country dog walking trails available including the Northern Rivers Rail Trail.

My partner’smum has 3 horses. They will be in their paddock but are cared for by her and her neighbour.

There is plenty of room to park your van with easy access to water and power or you’re welcome to stay in our little house.
