About this house sitting position in Essendon

I live in a modern ground floor unit with a good sized backyard. The unit boasts good sized bedrooms (2), a generous living area and french doors that open out to a sunny pergola and my garden. There are raised garden beds with some fresh herbs.

The unit is at the back of the unit block so nice and safe and quiet away from the street. There is on street car parking available for free.

I am a fur mother to a rescue dog, Bo, and rescue cat, Dante.

Bo is a kelpie/collie/staffy bitsa with big ears and a sweet heart. I adopted him at the tender age of 10 weeks and spent a great deal of time carefully training him. He’s a good boy. He loves playing fetch, and always up for a big walk or hike. But he’s also sweet and cuddly and will curl up on on the couch with you. He gets twice daily walks and fed two meals a day. I can provide a map with all the nearby parks that we frequent often.

For the past year I have been fostering kittens through the Lost Dogs Home… leading to my failure and adoption of Dante. As of July 2026 he is 9 months old. He’s cheeky, cuddly and playful. He looooves food and is slowly eating me out of house and home! I feed him twice daily only, to his dismay. He loves to explore and play in my garden and has worked out the dog door. I shut the dog door at night so he stays in, then open it again first thing in the morning.

I have a good wifi connection and an office setup in the spare room. My kitchen is open plan into the living room with everything you need. My coffee machine is one of my prized possessions and makes a great quality cuppa.

The unit is walking distance to the 59 tram or Glenbervie train station. There are also bus routes nearby. It's also a quick drive to the citilink or any of the freeways (Calder Fwy, Ring Rd etc).

Lots of cafes, restaurants and pubs nearby. The local cinema is in Moonee Ponds 6 minutes drive away. The nearest supermarket is a 10 minute walk but there are others a short drive away too.
