About this house sitting position in Exeter

Welcome to our spacious, country home in the beautiful Southern Highlands. The large house is set in a large, rambling garden, on 5 acres surrounded by open farmland, in rolling green hills.

We are well off the dirt road, so it is very quiet and tranquil, apart from the frogs, and wild bird songs 🎶.

There are two beloved, well trained border collie dogs, a house cat, and chickens (so fresh eggs every day!), a large veggie garden, a hammock and a large deck and sun room.

To housesit here you need to be of average fitness, as the dogs need a good 30-40 minutes walk every day. There are extensive bush walks close by and further afield (maps provided).
Two of the Southern Highland's most picturesque villages, Exeter and Bundanoon, are only 7 minutes away. They have great coffee shops, a small supermarket, and weekend markets. Coles and Woolies are only 20 minutes away in Moss Vale, or 30 mins in Bowral. Bundanoon is on the edge of Morton National Park, with lovely walks and fantastic canyon views.

The only duties for the house sitters apart from walking the dogs is feeding the resident cat, and 14 chickens. And hopefully giving them all the love they are used to!

We are on rain (tank) water only, and the fire wood is all sourced from trees felled on the farm, so we live sustainably, which means using resources thoughtfully. If you are after extravagant hotel luxury with little to do, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you are happy with thoughtful and economical use of resources and enjoy animals and nature you will be very comfortable.

Please note that you will need to bring your own wifi - Optus is ok, and Telstra better. To use my computer, I hotspot off my mobile phone, and it works very well.
