2 bedroom, 1 bathroom weatherboard house with garden in Fairfield, Victoria, close to Station Street shops and 700m from Fairfield railway Station. Fairfield Park, Yarra River and Darebin Creeks nearby.
WiFi provided but no pay TV connected. Hydronic heating, reverse cycle cooling, gas cooktop and electric oven. Dishwasher and washing machine but no dryer. Parking is on street as owner's car will be left on the driveway. Room in garage for bicycles and minor storage. House has a back to base security alarm - security is important.
Pets: One 9 year old ginger cat, friendly but not over demanding (except for food). Has access to outside during the day but always in at night. Food needs to be measured to control his weight. Vet is local - 2 blocks away.
House Tasks: Main garden on a watering system, but there are pots that will need occasional watering, including some bonsais and indoor plants that will need more regular watering. The only garden maintenance expected is to keep tidy, removing obvious weeds and leaves. No lawns to mow. Non smokers required. Expectation is house sitters would not hold parties or large gatherings but are welcome to entertain a few friends. Obviously, not to sublet rooms through Airbnb or similar.
