About this house sitting position in HOWARD QLD 4659

We are looking for a quiet mannered single female to mainly care for our 10 year old cat, Pippin. No children, sorry.
We are on 26 acres and enjoy the birds, kangaroos and any wildlife that chooses to visit us.
Pippin is very timid of strangers (especially males) so we need someone that has a quiet nature and is sensitive to his needs and anxiety. He's basically an inside cat. We usually let him out for an hour late afternoon, but until he gets familiar with you, he will need to be confined to the house 24/7. He is litter-box trained and uses this when he is locked up 24/7, otherwise he's an outside loo boy.
I also have a very friendly, quiet quarterhorse, Flicker. She is 22 years old, in very good condition and only needs a slice of bread or a carrot/apple in the morning & a small feed in the evening. A friend can help out with her if you are unsure of horses.
Definitely no smoking inside but can smoke outside as long as butts are disposed of responsibly.
We have a lovely large eco-friendly home in a very safe area. 1km to our local township of Howard that has all the shops you need, or an easy 30-40 minute drive to Hervey Bay. Either Maryborough or Childers are only about 20-25 minutes away and Bundaberg about an hour. We have a golf course over the road from us.
We have awesome quiet beaches with calm waters which are great for swimming, walking, fishing or kayaking. Burrum Heads and Toogoom beaches are our closest.
You will have your own bedroom with a queen bed.
We keep our house and grounds neat, clean and tidy.
There is a bbq area with a firepit overlooking our dam and back paddocks.
Some plants will need to be watered.
Ideally, we would love to have a sitter who can do shortish stays now & again to make going away less stressful for Pippin, but this isn't a necessity.
The tilt train stops in Howard as well.
We have Foxtel, Prime, Netflix, and NBN wifi.
References appreciated.
Please note: As the successful applicant will know all our details, we request that we sight some form of ID.
Thank you for taking the time to read my request.

Owners response
Thanks so much for such a kind review, Adrienne. It was great to have such dedicated home minders as yourself and Poppy.

“We can’t speak highly enough of this housesit. Liz & Don’s pets were a delight to care for - Pippin, the very shy black cat was easy to care for & Flicker, the delightful old horse melts your heart. The property is so relaxing in a semi-rural setting - a beautifully kept home with fruit trees & a vege patch & a fire pit with an abundance of wood supplied. Thank you for choosing us & would love to do so again.”

“What a lovely housesit, taking care of Pippin and Flicker in a beautiful home, very peaceful, tranquil acreage property. Liz and Don were the perfect dream owners, lots of communication went back and forth between us, Pip settled in right away so I was able to reassure Liz he was perfectly fine with me taking care of him. Of course their horse was an added bonus. A gentle, friendly Flicker so easy to feed a daily carrot etc. Comfy bed, which is always a bonus, and plenty of room left for my fridge/freezer items, a big one for Housesitters who love to cook like myself. Thoroughly recommend this housesit, decent genuine people and easy care pets in a lovely setting.”
