We take great pride in our home and expect it to be well looked after, so we can return home from overseas to find it in the exact same clean and tidy condition we left it in.

We are looking for a reliable, deeply caring, and trustworthy house sitter (or couple) to look after our beautiful home and our two beloved Australian Bulldogs while we are away on an overseas family holiday. Our dogs are not just pets; they are cherished members of our family. Because of this, we are being very selective and looking for someone who will treat them with the same love, respect, and attention that we do.
This is only the second time we have ever gone away and left them, and our second time traveling overseas without them. Because we will be an international flight away, we need absolute peace of mind. To help ease our minds, we require someone who is happy to message us with updates and photos every day or two so we can see that they are happy and thriving.

🐾 Meet the Fur-Babies: Marvel & DC
Marvel and DC are incredibly friendly,placid, lazy, loving, and absolute suckers for snuggle time and attention. They are strictly inside dogs who only head out to the backyard for toilet breaks or the occasional short leash walk.

Marvel: Is our sweet 10-year-old girl.
DC: Is our handsome 9-year-old boy. DC suffers from anxiety and loves to always be near a human companion when you are home.

🕒 Feeding & Routine Requirements:
Daytime Flexibility: While they love company, they are perfectly okay to be left home alone during the day with the TV on to keep them company! If you want to venture out, explore the Scenic Rim, or head out for a day trip, you absolutely can. You just need to ensure you feed them and take them out for a toilet break before you leave, and do the same as soon as you return.

Nighttime Companionship: You must sleep at the house every single night for the duration of the house sit. They would fret terribly if left alone overnight, as they have always had someone with them. They are used to sleeping on the bed for comfort, so we need someone comfortable sharing mattress space with two sweet, sleepy bulldogs!

Feeding Routine: Their meals are entirely homemade, but don't worry—all the hard work is done for you! We will pre-pack and portion their food into containers before we leave. You just need to separate it into their bowls, heat it up, fill up their biscuits, and ensure they have fresh water daily.

If you love a country town vibe with modern conveniences, you will love Kalbar and its sunsets and views are amazing! Our little town has been featured on TV multiple times for its famous Sunflower Festival and fantastic local eateries. Thanks to the dogs' easygoing daytime routine, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the region:
A Short Walk From Our Door: A great local pub, Spar supermarket, bakery, butcher, chemist, fruit shop, and a local vet (just in case).There is also a couple of hairdressers, police station, mitre10,Bank and a couple of retail stores.

Just Down the Road (Aratula & Boonah): You are surrounded by beautiful hiking spots. Boonah is a quick drive away with an IGA. Aratula is also right nearby, with fuel station’s and soon a IGA, Subway, and a brand-new McDonald’s opening this August/September or by the time you arrive.

Major Retail Hubs Nearby: If you need a proper shopping spree, a smooth 30-minute drive takes you straight into Yamanto, which features a Kmart, Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, and plenty of other specialty retailers. If you head just 5 to 10 minutes further from there, you’ll be in Riverlink (Ipswich), which offers a massive shopping centre, Bunnings, and Chemist Warehouse. If you like to do your food shopping online no problem as Woolworths and Coles do deliver to our address.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:
A true dog lover with a gentle, patient nature who is happy to follow their routine and share the bed at night.
Someone respectful and clean who will treat our house with respect and maintain its pristine cleanliness.
Impeccable references and a proven track record of being trustworthy, reliable, and highly contactable with regular photo updates while we are abroad.

Someone happy with a straight exchange of excellent care for rent-free living over the holiday period.
