About this house sitting position in Manly

We’re an Irish couple heading to Indonesia for two weeks and are looking for a kind, reliable sitter to look after our dog Hagrid and our apartment while we’re away. We’ve done lots of dog sitting ourselves, so we know how important it is to feel comfortable, respected and confident that your dog and home are being well cared for.
Our home is a comfortable one-bedroom, first-floor apartment overlooking Queenscliff Beach. It has a king-size bed and a small office setup with a monitor and standing desk. Please note that we don’t have fixed Wi-Fi, but we use a mobile hotspot when working from home. The apartment is in a great spot, close to the beach, lagoon and local cafes.

Hagrid is a Wolfhound x Labrador, we think, and is very much a friendly giant. He’s a big boy, but he’s calm, gentle and affectionate. He loves company and will usually want to be next to you, whether you’re relaxing at home, working, or sitting at a cafe. He’s great with people and other dogs, very good on the lead, and generally easygoing.
Because we don’t have a yard, Hagrid needs someone who can take him out regularly for poos and pees. He’ll need to go out every morning, once or twice during the day, and again before bed. He can be left alone for up to around six hours, but he’s happiest when he has company. There’s a dog-friendly area next to us at the lagoon, and a fenced dog park about a 10-minute walk away on Pittwater Road.

Our main priorities are that Hagrid is loved, taken out regularly, and that the apartment is kept in good nick. In return, you’ll get to spend time with a very gentle, loving dog in a beautiful spot by Queenscliff Beach.
