Our home is very much a labour of love. We purchased our Marcus Beach property last year and are gradually restoring this wonderful old girl through a full renovation. While she isn't perfect yet, she offers plenty of space, character and a peaceful coastal lifestyle.

The house features five bedrooms and three bathrooms, with one bathroom already beautifully renovated and more improvements underway. Some rooms have been freshly painted, while others are still awaiting their makeover. Throughout the home you'll find air conditioning in every room and fans in most areas.

Outside, you're welcome to enjoy our swimming pool – the perfect place to cool off after a morning walk on the beach. The large backyard has recently been cleared and is awaiting its own transformation.

Nestled at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, our home backs directly onto national park, creating a wonderfully private and tranquil setting. Despite the peaceful surroundings, you're only a 10-minute walk from the beautiful sands of Marcus Beach, making it easy to enjoy daily beach walks, ocean swims or simply soak up the relaxed coastal atmosphere.

Steph is our beautiful 8 year old Kelpie cross girl. She loves nothing more than a run at the nearby off-leash dog beach, where she can chase a ball to her heart's content. Despite her love of adventure, she's equally happy spending most of the day relaxing indoors.

Zeus will only be staying for part of the sit. He belongs to our daughter and her partner but is a regular visitor in our home. Zeus is also an 8-year-old Kelpie and he and Steph thoroughly enjoy each other's company. He loves trips to the beach too, although at home his favourite pastime is following his ball around everywhere he goes! Like Steph, he is content to spend much of the day inside.

Angel is our 15 year old cat and very much the queen of the house. These days she enjoys a quieter life, spending most of her time sleeping on our bed or stretched out in a sunny spot on the bedroom floor. She is strictly an indoor cat, although she does view an open door as an invitation to explore. Fortunately, she never ventures far and is very easy to coax back inside.

Tilly is our daughter's sweet little cat and another familiar face in our home. She gets along well with the dogs and is very comfortable around them. Tilly and Angel aren't the best of friends, but they have learned to coexist. While there may occasionally be a bit of hissing or grumbling between them, they never fight and generally prefer to keep their distance from one another. Read more...
