About this house sitting position in Mount Barker

Primary Requirement: looking after the two INDOOR ONLY pussycats by following their feeding routine; ensuring drinking water is clean and plentiful; cleaning/changing their litter; playing with them and giving them lots of snuggles as they are super smoochy, people-oriented cats. The cats (brother - Loki, and sister - Luna) are 4 years old and very good-natured.

We are located in the beautiful Adelaide Hills of South Australia. Mount Barker (MB) is a large, well-serviced town approximately a 40-minute drive from the Adelaide CBD. MB is in close proximity to Hahndorf, Stirling, Bridgewater, Strathalbyn and many other charming villages and towns. In addition to the many wonderful vineyards established in the Adelaide Hills, several other renowned wine regions (McLaren Vale, Barossa, Langhorne Creek) are all only short (under 1 hour) drives away. Beauty spots such as Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens, the Cedars, the Jurlique Flower Farm, etc. are nearby and easily accessible.

The house is a very new (2024) build in an area called "Bluestone". A shopping centre (with a Woolies, pharmacy, cafe, butchers, etc.) is a short walk from the house. It is a quick drive, <10 minutes, to the amenities in the main street of MB with several hotels, bakery, speciality shops, etc. Within the same distance, you also access the Wallis Movie complex, Oak & Iron tavern, public Library, etc.

The house is single story. There is a well-appointed kitchen, plus outdoor BBQ. The house has central air con and heating. Accommodation for the house sitter include a private bedroom and bathroom/shower. Parking available on a double-width driveway, or (potentially) the secure garage. It is a non-smoking house (indoors and out).

The garden is small and does not require any care. A couple of pot plants on the alfresco area will need to be watered weekly.
